A day of free screening
Karizia focuses great attention on the physical and mental well-being of its employees and more generally of all those belonging to the Veneto community, because this is something that it has taken to heart for years. It works closely with many organisations, associations and hospital institutes in support of public health in the area.
And just recently, the company organised a day dedicated to the prevention of breast cancer in collaboration with WelfareCare, a benefit company that works to raise awareness among women on this very subject. On 12 June, a camper van equipped to perform mammograms and ultrasound scans was positioned in front of the Karizia factory, offering free examinations to employees, collaborators and employees’ wives throughout the day. This is a small initiative that can really make a difference, and emphasises the fact that prevention is a fundamental tool for protecting health and limiting not only the human costs, but also the economic ones that affect public health.
